While on a walk around downtown, do not be surprised to see the “buskers” of Aspen Music Festival & School. These students are apart of the Aspen Music Festival and School, which is regarded as one of the top classical music festivals in the United States, noted both for its concert programming and its musical training of mostly young-adult music students. Every Sunday in summer is a dream, with a myriad of performances taking place under the Benedict Music Tent. Grab tickets, or pick up a blanket and charcuturie board to soak in the talent like a true Aspen Local on the lawn just outside of the tent. Melodies bring our community together each weekend for this special occurrence.

Our Backyard Crowned Jewels- The Maroon Bells

Just a short shuttle ride from the base of Aspen Highlands, stand in awe of the most photographed peak in North America, The Maroon Bells. Once you arrive to the lake, the best way to explore this area is by foot. There are both beginner and scenic routes. Any trail you pick will leave you speechless, with Crater Lake hike being the most popular with many beginner-intermediate hikers. Crater Lake allows you to venture past wildflowers and rock fields on the way to a lake with close up views of the Bells in all their glory. Please reserve shuttles here– or parking passes if any fit your needs.
