The White House Tavern is located in downtown Aspen at the historic A.G. Sheppard House. A beloved Aspen local favorite, known for its mouthwatering Southern-style cuisine. Though they have an unbeatable cocktail list, this is one of our favorite lunch spots in town. The best crispy chicken sandwiches in the West. In addition to other sandwiches there are salads and sides as well. Just walk on over! They don’t take reservations, but if there is a wait, trust us — it’s worth it!

Ski Snowmass – Aspen’s Family Mountain

Snowmass, the largest Aspen Snowmass ski resort, offers endless terrain and a family-friendly village. The acclaimed ski school at Snowmass is perfect for beginners and kids. The open moderate terrain on the Big Burn and Elk Camp is great for cruising and intermediate skiing. Extreme skiers can test their skills on The Wall and AMF. Snowmass has tons of terrain for the whole family!

The Pine Creek Cookhouse is a mandatory stop during your Aspen vacation. The remote restaurant, located at the end of the Castle Creek Valley in the Elk Mountain Range, serves high-end American cuisine, and the views of the Elk Mountain Range are unmatched. You can take it all in with family friends from the lovely patio!

Pine Creek Cookhouse is open seasonally. During the winters, you cannot drive to the restaurant — you must take a sleigh ride, snowshoe or cross country ski! In the summers, you can drive to the restaurant or park at the trailhead and walk in.

While you’re in the area, stop and explore the historical Ashcroft Ghost Town. Multiple structures, which were built around 1883, are still standing.

Lunch: Two lunch seatings, 7 days per week.

Dinner: Open for dinner Wednesday – Monday. Arrive at the Ashcroft Nordic Ski Center no later than 6:30 p.m. for ski and sleigh departures.

Las Montañas, located in the heart of downtown Aspen, serves Mexican food highlighting Tex-Mex classics including tabletop sizzling fajitas and house made tortillas as well as ceviches and grilled steaks and seafood. Cocktails and agave spirits, as well as their extensive wine list, round out the full Las Montañas experience. The patio is great for outdoor dining in summer, and the fun decor inside is the perfect atmosphere for any occasion. We recommend the vegetable fajitas, guacamole and chips and of course the house margaritas!

Meat & Cheese Restaurant and Farm Shop, is located right in the center of town. It’s a combination restaurant and marketplace. As you might guess, Meat & Cheese serves a variety of local meats and cheese, including chicken, steak, sausages. The specialty cheese boards are sourced from Avalanche Cheese Company, to which Meat & Cheese is related. The salads are fresh and healthy. The marketplace, located inside the restaurant, is a farmhouse-inspired shop where you can purchase meats and cheeses, as well as specialty sauces, soups, condiments, sweets and custom party trays / gift baskets.

Meat & Cheese does not take reservations, but you can place orders with the farm shop.
