The City of Aspen’s trail system provides both summer and winter use making it one of the largest trails systems in the state. The Parks Department manages over 22 miles of hard surface, soft surface and single-track trails through one of the most scenic mountain backdrops in the world. Since 2009, Ellina Restaurant has served farm-to-table, Italian-inspired cuisine in downtown Aspen. The core location is unbeatable and offers great outdoor seating along the pedestrian mall during summer. Ellina identifies their signature dishes — which we certainly recommend — as seared Mediterranean octopus, braised artichoke bruschetta, and Colorado lamb. The fantastic menu is complemented by a 1200-bottle wine list.

Elk Camp Restaurant

The Elk Camp Restaurant is open seasonally (winter and summer) at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola in Snowmass. The casual on-mountain spot serves gourmet grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches. We recommend the housemade soups and hand-tossed pizzas. On Friday nights during the peak winter season, Ullr Nights (a family-friendly celebration) take place at Elk Camp. In the summer, Elk Camp is conveniently located in the midst of the downhill bike park.

Element 47, located in the Little Nell, serves “Colorado contemporary cuisine.” The restaurant has received a five-star restaurant award and serves locally raised meats and dairy products are available on all menus. There’s a bar menu if you’re in the mood for a quick bite!

Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro

At 10,900 feet, Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro at Aspen Highlands Ski Resort is the epitome of on-mountain dining. You’ll feel as though you escaped to the Swiss Alps during lunch service as you dine on fondue, raclette and streudel. Once après ski starts, you’ll be popping champagne and dancing on tables.
Dining at Cloud Nine is by reservation only, 30 days in advance for lunch. Ski-in ski-out only. There are lunch seatings at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. For dinner reservations, reach the restaurant by snowcat.
Clark’s Oyster Bar

If you’re in the mood for amazing, fresh seafood, Clark’s Oyster Bar is your spot. Originally out of Austin, TX, Clark’s opened its downtown Aspen location in the summer of 2018. The restaurant is located in the old Little Annie’s on East Hyman Avenue.
Besides oysters, of course, we recommend the snapper ceviche, clams, freshly baked sourdough, and smashed potatoes. For those who prefer turf to surf, there is a phenomenal burger.

Casa Tua

Casa Tua is a beloved Northern Italian restaurant in downtown Aspen. Our guests who also spend time in Miami are already familiar with Casa Tua, as there is a location there as well. Casa Tua serves lunch and dinner, in addition to a bar menu and happy hour. There is seating available for large groups.
In addition to great food, Casa Tua offers membership opportunities. “The Club” at Casa Tua hosts events (like wine tastings and private art exhibitions).
Campo di Fiori

Campo di Fiori is a classic Italian restaurant loved by Aspen locals and visitors alike. The classic menu is created by Executive Chef Giuseppe Garofolo, who moved from Italy to Aspen in 1999. We recommend the imported cured meats and pastas. Campo di Fiori is also a great late-night hangout.
