About the Aspen Food and Wine Classic

The Aspen Food and Wine Classic is one of the highlights of our summers in Aspen. The three-day weekend is comprised of more than 80 seminars and a Grand Tasting. You’ll get a chance to meet celebrity chefs, taste incredible dishes, and see behind the scenes like never before.

The Grand Tasting Pavilion

The Grand Tasting Pavilion is the focal point of the Aspen Food and Wine Classic. Located in Wagner Park in the center of town, you’ll be able to sample food, wine, and spirits from more than 200 brands. Eat and drink your way through this pavilion to find your new favorite beverage and indulge in decadent dish after dish.

The Events

There are more than 80 events at the Aspen Food and Wine Classic, so it is impossible to attend them all. Each has been carefully curated and are run by some of the biggest names in the food and beverage industry. Some names that have been there in the past include Martha Stewart, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Jacques Pépin. You can choose one event per time slot; spots are limited, so it is best to choose your desired seminars and demonstrations as soon as possible. Seating is first come, first served so we recommend getting to each event early enough to get your desired viewing point.

Pass Information

To access the events at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic, you will need a pass. There are multiple tiers of passes, each offering more than the last. If you just want the basics of the seminars and access to the Grand Tasting Pavilion, any tier will do. If you’re looking for VIP access, star-studded parties, and extra events, consider a higher tier. Local tip: We recommend getting your passes and booking your stay with Aspen Signature Properties as soon as possible. Passes usually go on sale in December and are known to sell out before the event.

The Aspen Food & Wine Classic is the ultimate foodie event. For just three days out of the year, the top names in food and beverage gather for this incredible festival. Attendees get to meet celebrity chefs, taste incredible dishes, and frequent a mix of more than 80 classes and talks.

Aspen Ideas Festival | June

Every year, leaders from around the world gather in Aspen for the Aspen Ideas Festival. They take the time to discuss the issues going on around the globe, how they can be solved, and how we can do better. More than 400 sessions are available, and about 3,000 people attend each year! 

Local tip: The Aspen Food and Wine Classic usually leads to the Aspen Ideas Festival. Many times, they are one weekend after the other, so you can easily come for both!

Jazz Aspen Snowmass | June

As of 2019, there is a huge change in the JAS June Experience. Instead of large events at the Benedict Music Tent, concerts are now held throughout Aspen and Snowmass at smaller venues. For four days, a huge variety of artists will be represented at these new spots. This will give attendees the opportunity to explore the town and experience the charm of these small venues.

Aspen Music Festival Summer Season | June – August

The Aspen Music Festival Summer Season is enjoyed by more than 100,000 attendees each year. From the end of June until mid-August, you’re welcome to attend more than 400 concerts put on by the Aspen Music Festival and School. If you’d like tickets for any of the events or would like a season pass to attend as many as possible, our concierge service is more than happy to secure them for you.

Free Summer Concert Series | June – August

Visitors and locals alike gather every Thursday night for the annual Free Summer Concert Series.
